What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work, remember choices, and, with your permission, measure how the site is used.
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies this website uses and why. It forms part of our Privacy Policy, which explains how we look after your personal data more broadly.
The two kinds of cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These are set by our hosting platform, WordPress.com, and are required for the website to function, for example for security and to deliver pages reliably. They don’t track you for our benefit, they don’t require your consent, and they can’t be switched off through the cookie banner. You can block them in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
2. Analytics cookies (optional, only with your consent)
If you accept analytics through the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets the following cookies:
- _ga: distinguishes one visitor from another so we can count visits accurately. Lasts up to 2 years.
- Cookies beginning _ga_: keep track of your browsing session for Google Analytics. Last up to 2 years.
These cookies help us understand which pages people read, how they found the site, and what devices they use. We see aggregate reports; we do not use this data for advertising, and we never sell it.
If you decline, these cookies are simply not set, and the website works exactly the same.
Changing your mind
You can change your cookie choice at any time:
- use the cookie settings link on this site to update your preferences; or
- delete cookies through your browser settings; every major browser lets you view and remove cookies for individual sites.
Withdrawing consent stops analytics cookies from that point on; it doesn’t affect anything measured while your consent was active.
Questions
If you have any question about our use of cookies, or about your data more generally, contact us at privacy@revay.app. Our Privacy Policy has full details of your rights and how to exercise them.
