Your questions about adaptive training, answered
Everything you might want to know before you train with Revay. If your question isn’t here, email us at hello@revay.app.
What is Revay?
Revay is a training companion in app form. It builds a personalised training and nutrition plan around your goal, then adapts it every day in response to what your body and your life are telling it: fatigue, sleep, hormonal state, injury, illness, and the week you’re actually having.
How is it different from other training apps?
Most training plans assume you’re a fixed unit that performs the same every day. They don’t know you slept badly, that work blew up, or that a session got missed because life happened. When the plan can’t bend, you’re made to feel you failed it. Revay starts from the opposite position: the plan exists to fit you. Each morning it looks at everything you’ve told it and proposes the day’s session calibrated to where you actually are. You stay in control. Every adaptation is offered, never imposed.
What happens when I miss a session?
The plan absorbs it. Revay reshuffles your week to protect what matters most, tells you exactly what changed and why, and shows you the path forward. No guilt screen, no broken streak, no red badge of shame. A missed session is information, not a verdict.
Do I need to be a runner?
Revay’s structured plans launch with running as the first discipline, and these plans can include strength, mobility, and cross-training sessions like cycling and swimming – depending on your preferences. Full support for more disciplines, including cycling, swimming and Hyrox, will launch soon. If you follow, or want to follow, a structured plan with a goal behind it, Revay is for you.
Does Revay track my menstrual cycle?
Only if you want it to. The hormonal layer is opt-in. If you switch it on, Revay uses your cycle alongside fatigue and sleep to calibrate each day’s training, explained in plain language, never jargon. If you switch it off, or it doesn’t apply to you, Revay adapts on fatigue, sleep, and everything else. The whole app works either way.
Is Revay only for women?
No. Revay is for any adult who trains. The cycle layer is one signal among many, and it’s entirely optional. Nothing in Revay assumes your gender.
I’m carrying an injury or feeling ill. What does Revay do?
You tell Revay what’s going on using the simple check-in function, and it adapts your training around it: substituting sessions, adjusting load, or proposing rest when rest is the answer. Revay never diagnoses anything and never overrides you. Revay is a training tool, not a medical service. For any injury, illness, or health concern, speak to a medical professional.
Do I need a wearable for Revay to work?
No. Revay can work fully with a short daily check-in you complete yourself. If you use a supported watch or device, Revay can also interact with your wearable, including receiving performed activity data and send planned sessions to it. This may make your Revay experience richer, but you do not need a wearable to benefit from any of the core features of the app.
How much does Revay cost?
Pricing will be announced soon; it will be a straightforward subscription in pounds, with monthly and annual options, and nothing hidden. Beta testers will have access to Revay for free for the duration of the beta, and will be offered a lifetime founding rate if they wish to continue using Revay after the beta. More information on this will be made available to those who have signed up to the beta.
When can I start using Revay?
Revay launches in the UK first, on the App Store and Google Play. The beta opens ahead of launch, and beta places are limited. Find out more about the beta here.
What happens to my data?
Your training, sleep, cycle, injury, and illness data are health data, and we treat them that way. We only collect them with your explicit consent, we never sell them, and we never use them for advertising. You can export or delete your data at any time. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
Is there an age limit?
Revay is for adults either in, or planning to enter a structured training programme. It is not suitable for those under 18.
